The year 2019 started off with a great cultural initiative dedicated to today’s youth: every Monday the Florentine Civic Museums will offer free entrance for all European kids up to 25 years old.
Florence is beckoning to the young, inviting them to enjoy the artistic beauty of the city at “costo zero”, at least for one day of the week. The event is for European citizens between the ages of 18 and 25 (museums are already free for those visitors up to 18 years old) and is an experimental offer for this year.
The cultural centers involved in this initiative include some of the museums part of the Florentine Civic Museums network: Palazzo Vecchio Museum, the Novecento Museum, the Stefano Bardini Museum, the Brancacci Chapel and the Fondazione Salvatore Romano. Monday, a day noted for museum closure, particularly of the Accademia Gallery and the Uffizi Museum, will now offer the opportunity to visit other interesting museums in the city to complete your itinerary with art and history.
