This October, you can continue to enjoy the special guided visits offered every Thursday, Friday and Saturday at the Bargello and Medici Chapels. The itineraries focus on unusual aspects or lesser-known works within the two museum’s collections. These visits are perfect not just for adults, but for families with kids as well.
The guided visits are free, you just need to show up with your entrance ticket to the meeting point (both are near the ticket office) where you’ll meet your guide! The visits are offered both in English and Italian.
This is the calendar for October for the Bargello Museum:
Forms of stone and water: Sculptures from the decorative fountains of the Bargello: October 7, 15 and 27. English at 3pm, Italian at 4pm
Ivory and Carrand: October 8, 20 and 28. English at 3pm, Italian at 4pm
Types and forms of portraits from the 15th and 16th century: October 1, 13, 21 and 29. English at 3pm, Italian at 4pm
Weapons at the Bargello Museum: October 6, 14 and 22. English at 3pm, Italian at 4pm

The Chapel of the Princes and the art of “pietre dure”: October 1, 7, 13, 15, 21, 27, 29. English at 3pm, Italian at 4pm
Michelangelo’s New Sacristy: the ideal synthesis of architecture, sculpture and decoration: October 6, 8, 14, 20, 22 and 28. English at 3pm, Italian at 4pm
Again, to participate you just need to head to the meeting point at both museums, found near the ticket office, at the indicated hour with your museum entry ticket in hand. Groups of up to 25 people will be formed for each visit. You are not required to, but if you wish, you can book your spot on the guided tour by calling Firenze Musei at 055 294883.
